this is a piece i did last year for a story called "the most boring birthday in the universe" for stories for children magazine. i thought it was a good example of *yielding*....in a cute way of course;)

the most boring birthday in the universe~sketch

so here is my sketch for my next project with stories for children magazine www.storiesforchildrenmagazine.com
a sweet little story entitled "the most boring birthday in the universe". it's about a little boy, his grandma, "the most boring birthday in the universe" and some cute green gecko galoshes...courtesy of grandma, of course;)
only one illustration was needed and i chose to illustrate the end part of the story...AND it was approved on the first go (lucky me). i am super excited to get my brush dipped in the paint and add some bright colors to this happy little piece:)
thanks to rosemarie (the art director over at sfc) for my second opportunity to work for this great kids magazine!
