"theatre" (sketch)-illustration friday 4-24-09

i didn't want to skip out on i.f. this week! however, due to lots of nursery art orders, i had to take the quick way and just submit a sketch! hopefully, i will be able to paint this little guy one day soon...he's cute in his little theatre outfit selling tickets;) enjoy:)

"impossibility"-illustration friday 4-17-09

okay...i know what everyone is thinking..."how is this little girl dancing in the rain an 'impossibilty'"? because it's ME and i HATE rain...therefore, the chances of me dancing in the rain (and looking like i am having a good time), is my personal "impossibility"! although, if i absolutely HAD to do it (which i don't forsee happening anytime soon), at least i have my cute, little matching pink and orange raincoat, hat and golashes...might as well do it in style;) enjoy!!!

"fleeting"-illustration friday 4-10-09

here is this week's illustration friday piece~"fleeting". i had actually done this as a self-promo postcard last may and thought it would be perfect for this week's topic! it's entitled "catch me if you can" and it's my all-time favorite piece to date..it's supposed to be me (anytime there is pink and orange involved, chances are, it's me!) enjoy:)

"talisman"-illustration friday 4-3-09

well,"talisman", i thought, was going to be a difficult concept to illustrate aside from a little sorcerer with an amulet hanging from his neck. i didn't want to do anything like that so i put my own spin on it;) i thought "how cute" to have a little boy giving a little girl flowers...and he's a bit nervous;) so, low and behold, he has his lucky little 4-leaf clover to get him through...behing his back, of course, so she can't see that he's a wee bit nervous;) enjoy!!!

"poise"-illustration friday 3-27-09

when i saw the topic was "poise", a little ballerina was the first image that jumped into my head! this is based on a student i had a long time ago named jessica who was obsessed with ballet!!! i remember going to see one of her recitals...sooo cute;)...and how we all threw little pink flowers on the stage when she was all done:) and so this week's illustration friday piece was born...enjoy:)
